Victoria “Vicky” Rohrer (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#110700) and co-owner of Sonoma Valley Family Therapy. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Sacramento in 2014, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dominican University of California in 2008.  Vicky spent four years working in a county program (CAPE), where she provided short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to teens and adults. This experience strengthened her ability to support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-harm, neurodivergence, grief and loss, identity concerns, and trauma.

Vicky's approach is grounded in authenticity and connection, with a strong emphasis on creating a therapeutic relationship built on honesty, genuineness, integrity, consistency, trust, and respect—along with a bit of humor. Vicky is a trauma-informed therapist and a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. She specializes in working with teens, adults and women, particularly around codependency and finding their voice. While she primarily uses a Person-Centered approach, she also integrates counseling techniques such as Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Family Systems to best meet each client’s needs.

Vicky also operates a separate consulting practice as a Therapeutic Educational Consultant. In this role, she provides individualized guidance and recommendations for out-of-home residential treatment programs, helping teens and adults access more intensive mental health and educational support tailored to their unique needs.
