Dr. Mégan Dozler, affectionately known as "Dr. D" is a compassionate therapist and Board-Certified Music Therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting the emotional well-being of children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Dr. D has an extensive academic resume, she received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Regent University’s school of psychology and counseling, in addition, she has a M.S. in Human Studies, and an M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University.

 

At Sonoma Valley Family Therapy, she offers a warm, inclusive, and culturally responsive space for healing and growth. Dr. D specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, relational challenges, and life transitions. She has extensive experience working with at-risk youth, BIPOC communities, and individuals seeking Christian counseling. She also provides support for premarital counseling and family systems work.

 

With a holistic, client-centered approach, Dr. D integrates evidence-based practices with
expressive modalities such as music, mindfulness, and movement. Her work is rooted in cultural humility and a deep commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families build resilience, restore connection, and create meaningful change.

 

At Sonoma Valley Family Therapy, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where
individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds can explore their stories, rediscover their strengths, and work toward healing and wholeness. Through a blend of evidence-based counseling, expressive arts, and a deep respect for each person’s cultural and spiritual values, I aim to walk alongside clients with compassion, integrity, and hope.
