Jenny McGunagle (Jennifer George) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC#20929) with a Master’s Degree in School and Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego. She has worked across multiple levels of care, including adult residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and a TK through 8th grade school setting. In each of these roles, she has provided individual therapy, facilitated groups, developed curriculum, and supported families. Throughout her career, Jenny has remained committed to lifelong learning and to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Jenny is passionate about supporting the people she works with live full and beautiful lives. She takes a Person-Centered approach and believes her clients are the experts of their own experiences. Drawing from a range of evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Somatic Experiencing, Jenny tailors her work to each individual’s needs.
Jenny primarily specializes in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, PTSD, and low self-esteem. Jenny enjoys working with kids, teens, adults and families. Similar to how her friends and family would describe her, clients have often described Jenny as warm, caring, funny, a bit like a golden retriever, and full of song (as almost everything reminds her of a one!). Jenny is truly committed to showing up authentically each day to help clients grow, learn, and thrive.
