Taylor Tessendore is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's Degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. Taylor has twenty years of experience working in school districts with diverse populations as a mentor, counselor, school-based therapist, and healing arts teacher. This is where her heart deeply connected with helping underserved children and teens leading her to volunteer with community organizations.
Taylor has been a passionate and devoted mediation practitioner for over two decades now. As a Meditation Teacher and Mindfulness Retreat Guide, she explored her internal world during a year-long retreat to deepen her insight. She uses her mindfulness training to cultivate a peaceful, safe space for the deepest part of our being to heal intergenerational trauma and grief. She believes that bringing loving awareness to the parts of ourselves often held with judgment can transmute pain into a path of inner freedom.
Taylor's clinical training and experience consist of individual therapy with a variety of approaches such as Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Gestalt, Client-Centered, and Existential Therapy. She also enjoys applying Art and Play Therapy. Taylor has training in several methods that allow her creative space to tailor her approach to her client's needs and desires. Her clinical background has been in a variety of settings including a university, a family practice, and schools.
She offers support with life transitions, Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STE's), anxiety, loss, and depression. Taylor believes in the transformational power of what is possible when we can bring aliveness to the present moment and embody the virtues of the heart, loving-kindness, steadiness, compassion, and wisdom.
